Our Board

Elaine received her Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and her JD from Northwestern University. She practiced tax and transactional law for several years before retiring to raise her children and to found and operate the Be A Gift Foundation.

John is an associate in Mayer Brown’s Chicago office and a member of the Corporate & Securities practice. John received his JD from the University of Notre Dame and his BS in Marketing and Management from the University of Arizona. John is admitted to practice in the state of Illinois.

Luke graduated with high honors from the University of San Diego in 2022 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Before transferring to USD, Luke attended Ohio State University, where he was a walk-on safety for the Buckeyes football team. Luke began his career as a Commercial Banking Analyst at JPMorgan Chase, gaining invaluable experience in financial modeling and credit risk analysis. He now works as a Strategy Analyst at Disney on the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team, contributing to the future of streaming entertainment.

Ellyn has more than 30 years of experience in public accounting and is a principal of Mann Weitz & Associates, a premier CPA firm in Chicago for associations, foundations and charitable groups. Ellyn is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. She is the Director and Treasurer of the Rory David Deutsch Foundation and an Advisory Board member for Duke University’s Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree from the University of Illinois.
